Dust Mite Elimination Products

Asthma is one of the major allergies existed and covered all over the world. The literature review is shown in spreading Asthma related allergies in the world as follows: 300 million people worldwide are affected with Asthma-related problems. Asthma is triggered by dust mites, their feces, half digested skin flakes, and mould. Over 50 million people in central & Southern Asia suffer from asthma since 1980.In Europe the number is reaching 100 million. In Africa the Asthma related problems affected are over 50 million. Among the developed countries, Australia has 2 million people suffering from Asthma, 23.2 million people are affected in United States, 9 million out of which are children, and in United Kingdom 1.5 million people are affected with Asthma related allergies. It is revealed that the dust mites are the most common cause of Asthma and allergic symptoms worldwide. Dust mites are heavily saturated in mattresses, pillows and carpets where the human skin flakes and moisture contents are generally left. They are not visible to naked eye as they are in length of 420 microns and of 250-320 microns in width. Both male/female are in globular shape, creamy white and have a striated cuticle. They have 8 hairy legs. They do not bite or sting but harbor strong allergens in their bodies as well as in their secretions, excreta and shed skins. Constant contact with these allergens can trigger respiratory and dermatological complaints in some humans. Dust mites have a rudimentary alimentary system (no stomach) and require most digestion to occur outside their body. For this reason they secrete enzymes and deposit the fungus aspergillus repens on dust particles, to enable the fungus to pre-digest the organic matter with its enzymes. Dust mites eat the same particle several times, only partially digesting it each time. On average, a person sheds about 1.5 gram of skin cells and flakes every day (approximately 0.3-0.45 kg per year). Even in dry climates, dust mites survive and reproduce easily in bedding (especially in pillows& mattresses) because of the humidity generated by the human body during several hours of breathing and perspiring.

One of the most highly allergenic contaminants found indoors is house dust, often heavily contaminated with the fecal pellets and skins of dust mites. Estimates are that dust mites may be a factor in 50 to 80 % of asthma cases, as well as in countless cases of eczema, hay fever, and other allergic ailments. Common causes of allergy and asthma symptoms include house dust mites, their feces, half digested skin flakes.

Some facts of Dust mites
Figure 1. shows various microscopic dust mites and other mites live in pillows, mattresses, carpets, and bed sheets. We have collected them alive by a hand held vacuum cleaner. It was observed that most of the dust mites remain in the carpets, pillows, bed sheets, and very few of them can be sucked through vacuum cleaner. The reason for this is because dust mites are active movers through thin fibers of dust particles and tightly stick on to the fibers while running away from the vacuum flow.

The dusts mites can not be freely move in air or fly. They can be transported with lumps of dust only. We hardly find dust mites in toilets, washing areas, or bath rooms, where more humid air saturated. Also it was not observed that the dust mites on the surfaces where dust is deposited out side the bed rooms. But it was obvious that the dust mites were in bed rooms where the pillows, mattresses, bed sheets, and carpets, even underneath of beds they are thriving in lumps of dust.

K-HART International Pty. Ltd. has invented dust mite destabilizing products for bed rooms in houses, hotels, hospitals where most of dust mite population thriving human skin flakes. Universal dust mite eliminator is most special product which can be retrofitted to any house hold vacuum cleaner to totally remove the dust mite population. Below are few samples of dust mite eliminator products K-HART International introduces to the world to prevent from Asthma, Hay fever, Eczema, runny nose, watery eyes, itchiness, and sneezing.
